Bugzy Boy the Dog needs a home
Bugzy Boy - what a character he is! A tiny little dog, only 4 pounds and 5 years old. His owner surrendered him to a shelter when she could no longer keep him in her apartment. We were contacted because Bugz Boy is considered special needs - he has a liver shunt and a bit of a 'tude! Well that doesn't scare us off - we love our special needs dogs and know that there are people that will love him like us too.
Bugz is a typical chihuahua, once he loves you , he loves you and just wants to be held and cuddled. He is ok with other dogs but he is very small so little dogs are better. Older kids or no kids are better - he doesn't want to play, he just wants to be held. Cats are no issue. He is crate trained and does ok on a leash. In this weather it is hard to tell but he uses pee pads too. The liver shunt is a birth defect. Bugz does not require medication but eats a special food and has to eat several times a day. He does not always do that but we try and it's up to him to eat, we can't force him lol.
Bugz is now neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, tested neg for heartworm and has been given a dental. His adoption fee is $200 - please apply online if you are interested in adopting this special boy!
